28 Sep 2026Now, what on earth is QuantumJane?
I am getting this question every day. So I made a short video to explain. This news site has no ads and has no sponsors - although YouTube will. All travel for reporting has been, and will be, paid for by me. I want to stay as independent as I can to say when things don't work. I will post a weekly "What Jane's Reading" note - Short, with some observations that are mine, or from the very smart people in this industry, along with useful links from the past week. The choice to use IonQ's quantum computer whose technology is called "trapped ions" is interesting as it's not one of the four quantum computing companies Nvidia has announced investments in. Those are US companies QuEra, Quantinuum (Nasdaq: QNT), and PsiQuantum, and French startup Alice & Bob. Quantinuum also uses the trapped-ion technology for its quantum computers.

PAUSE: QuantumJane's Weekly Reads
Sorry. Tweaking the website as I go. Having a weekly feature for an industry where there are a lot of announcements that don't mean much and supplying links to those announcements I decided would waste everyone's time. If there is breaking news or announcements that need reporting, I will build out the story rather than toss something here and expect you to figure it out. Thanks for your understanding.
